We did it without much paddling in 3 hours.  The distance is about 9 miles.
About 1 mile north of the covered bridge put-in is a historcal marker on the west side of the river that reads,

delicious pigs is working on installing a radiant cooling system for our walk-in cooler (a.k.a. the "cheese cave"). 

Hex tubing is riveted to the the walls. The spacers are PVC. Dairy board will be riveted on top. This will be a much easier surface to clean and a system much less likely to breakdown.

The sugar is collected mostly through a pipeline system.  It takes about 35 gallons of clear sap to produce one gallon of maple syrup.
